BACKGROUND
Purpose CCRA and the software community led by the CATAAlliance have held a series of joint training
Background sessions across the country to achieve common understanding and consistent application of the
Who We Are recently completed Software/IT Industry Sector Guidance Document. The software community with the
SR&ED CCRA prepared this Guidance document.
Forum As part of the process to support the introduction and correct implementation of this material into the
Links software community and the CCRA, it is agreed that each Coordinating Tax Services Office (CTSO)
Contact us set up a joint oversight committee, to function as a feedback mechanism to identify difficulties and
Home issues quickly and to initiate corrective actions including training.
The following recommendations for the mandate, formation, and operations should be looked upon as a
starting point and can be adjusted as required. The key is transparency, communication and feedback
to the CCRA's Headquarters (HQ) via the National Technology Sector Specialist (NTSS) Section on
how things are working from both the CTSO's perspective and from the perspective of the claimants.
